I.Cultivation Objectives

1.Objectives of Cultivation

Based in Shanghai, the major of Logistics Managementserves the entire country and aims to cultivate high-quality, technicallyskilled graduates with innovative and entrepreneurial spirits in the fields ofinternational logistics, chemical logistics, and intelligent logisticsmanagement.

2.Objectives to be achieved by students five years after graduation

(1) Objectives of Cultivation

The major aims to develop professionals in appliedlogistics management with a solid foundation in modern logistics management andpractical skills in logistics engineering. Graduates will be familiar with theknowledge, skills, and regulations of logistics management in various fields,including international logistics, chemical logistics, and intelligent supplychain. They will be equipped to engage in procurement management,transportation management, warehousing and distribution management, logisticsproject planning, and operation in logistics enterprises and logisticsdepartments of companies. Specialized technical and managerial skills arerequired to achieve value-oriented goals.

(2) Value-Oriented Goal

The major aims to cultivate students who arepassionate about their country, and who develop morally, intellectually,physically, aesthetically, and labor. They should possess a strong scientificliteracy, integrity, and a sense of social responsibility. They should have akind humanity and scientific rationality, an international perspective and theability to integrate cultures. Additionally, they should be aware of politicalissues, have an understanding of the overall situation, a core consciousness,the ability to align with the Party's directives, and be well-rounded in bothcharacter and ability, thus becoming useful individuals.

 

II. Academic Requirements for Program Completion

Graduation Requirements and DegreeConferral

Students of this major must complete the minimumcredits required by various courses according to the requirements of theguiding cultivation plan, and complete the corresponding extracurriculararrangements. Students can graduate only when they reach at least 151 credits;those who meet the requirements for the conferment of a bachelor's degree willbe awarded a bachelor's degree in management.

 

Program duration

Flexible academic period, generally 4 years, with aflexible range of no less than 3 years and no more than 6 years.

Programrequirements

The Bachelor of Logistics Managementrequires students to successfully complete 151 credits, which is comprised of:

  • At least 46.5     credits from public fundamental courses;

  • At least 10     credits from general education courses;

  • At least 21     credits from professional fundamental courses;

  • All credits (i.e.,     41 credits) from core courses;

  • At least 31.5     credits from professional practice.

ModuleA. International Logistics

ModuleA focuses on teaching the fundamentals of international freight forwarding,bonded logistics, and multimodal transportation. The course aims to developtechnical talents who are familiar with the business processes and operationalknowledge of international logistics. Students will gain the ability to conductinternational procurement, transportation, and distribution, as well as manageinternational logistics projects.

 

ModuleB. ChemicalLogistics

ModuleB focuses on the study of chemical fundamentals, chemical logistics service andoperation, chemical transportation management, dangerous goods logistics lawsand regulations. It aims to cultivate technical talents who are familiar withthe business process and operational knowledge of chemical logistics, possessthe business ability of dangerous goods transportation, warehousing anddistribution, and dangerous goods safety management, and are capable ofcarrying out the operation and management of chemical logistics projects.

 

ModuleC. Intelligent Logistics

ModuleC focuses on teaching Big Data and Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, andIntelligent Logistics System. The goal is to train technical professionals whoare familiar with the business processes and operational knowledge ofIntelligent Logistics. They should have the ability to operate IntelligentLogisticsequipment, design Intelligent Logistics programs, and manage IntelligentLogistics projects.
